Fix It Friday: Those Cheeks!

Well as you all know. I love Fix it Fridays over at i heart faces. Amy and Angie are two of the coolest people out there in our blog world so check them out!

The original shot is one of the most adorable babies I’ve ever seen. I mean, if this little one was mine, he MAY not ever get put down. Look at that half grin. So cute.

I did a few this week just because I was having fun.

I’m not gonna lie. This edit creeps my out a little. My husband wanted to see what it would look like with just the shirt and eyes in color...so this is his request to put on here:)

Moving Day is so approaching...

Okay ladies (and gents)! I'm so excited. I just bought Thesis and I will be working on my move to Wordpress! Can I get a what what from the peanut gallery?! I am taking a small step into a bigger goal of mine. But I can't give it all away just yet! I love secrets:)

I am so excited, my throbbing sinus cold ALMOST isn't getting in my way from pulling an all nighter. But sad to say, it is. I just don't have that third hand to blow my nose while working. Plus, my eyes may pop out at any minute. So I'm off the computer and I will work on it a bit tomorrow and I'm taking a vacay day from work on Friday. Only someone like me would take a vacation day to work on a computer. And at this rate, it may end up being a sick day. I feel like poop.

So much to say, but it will have wait. YAY!!!!

Barbie and Ken...all is right!

I was folding clothes the other day when I overheard the girls talking. They were coloring in a Barbie book and it went kind of like this...

Juliane: Geez. Barbie gets divorced a lot!

Hannah: She what? Aborse?

Juliane: NO! Divorce! She marries a lot of boys.

Hannah: I not know that.

So I enter and ask Jude why she thinks that, because Hannah obviously isn't in the know

Juliane: Because she's always breaking up with a boy and going with another one. First she's with Ken, then she divorces him, now she is with this one. Then on the movies she's with other boys....she gets divorced a lot!

(she was coloring in a Barbie book and different pages had different guys with Barbie)

I explained to them that Barbie is the "family name" and there are many Barbies in the family. So Barbie isn't a hussy dating all kinds of boy dolls.

Juliane: Well that makes sense!


Thank the good Lord she was satisfied with that one!

Bobbie Humphries

Today it has been a year since Amos' mother passed away. It has been a rough year at times, sadness always creeps in at unexpected moments. She was an amazing lady and her life impacted hundreds. Thanksgiving brings bitter sweet feelings with it this year. We always went to Charlotte for Thanksgiving to spent time with Bobbie and Amos' sister. Now we have to create a new tradition and that can be difficult at times. I was remembering some of my favorite pictures of her yesterday...

We miss you greatly Bobbie. We will see you soon.

Ah, the holidays. WAIT! You have 11 items!

I love the holidays. The time of year that families come together, in all our dysfunction, and place problems aside to soak up the atmosphere.

We smile at strangers,

Wish people Happy Thanksgiving or Merry Christmas,

Feed the hungry,

We give gifts to the less fortunate,

and even let people with more than 10 items stay in the checkout line...

Wait. We do?

Well, I don't, but someone out there may and cheers to you for allowing it.

I can't help it. I count. I count the items in the cart in front of me. If they have 11 items, I'm fired up. You know that one item makes the biggest change in the rest of my day. I want to stand up on the checkout belt and point to the sign and say in my best teacher voice, since they apparantly cannot read, "EXPRESS - 10 items or less"

I would love to say that the world is just that black and white to me, but I would be lying. I am just that Type A. Because you switch it around and I have 11 items, you can bet I'm in that same line! Sometimes. It's a flaw of mine. I'm well aware and I'm working on it daily. Just love me through it.


Side thought: Black Friday is going to be so much fun. My nails are almost the right length to claw my way through the toy aisles:)
